A survey conducted by ECA International, an employer consultant
company, Metro Manila placed 187th on the list of countries is South East Asia
as the cheapest place to live in. The survey says that the cost of living in
Metro Manila is lower that Jakarta, Bangkok, and Vientiane which ranks 123,
162, and 85 consecutively.
On the other hand, If compare to other countries like Chiang Mai, Hanoi,
Mumbai,Ho Chi Minh City, and Bangalore. Manila is noted to be more expensive.
The survey of ECA also noted that price hike in Asia this 2012 has an average
of 6.5% compare to last year's 8.2%.
